A silent tribute to those who have lost their lives to hate crimes. Displays will line the Main Mall to

Do you want to learn how to become an ally to LGBTQ individuals? Students are invited to come
to the training and begin to learn about the concept of heterosexism and how it can be

Join for us a panel discussion with Anne Wynne, founder of the Atticus Circle, and Col. Paul
Dodd, chaplin (US Army Ret.). Since its inception in 1993, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" has resulted in
the discharge of nearly 10,000 American service members as well as a countless number of
LGBT individuals who have chosen not to pursue military service. Wynne founded Atticus Circle,
a non-profit dedicated to achieving equality for all partners and parents, regardless of sexual
orientation. Presented by the Harvey Milk Society, the GLBTQA group at the LBJ School of

Food and Drug Administration policy prevents men who have had sex with another man from
giving blood. On April 5, The Fight to Give Life campaign urges you to attempt to give blood and
answer, YES!, to the question "Are you a man who has had sex with a man, even once, since

Naylor was one of the first out lesbians to lobby on behalf of the community in the Texas
legislature, one of the original founders of the Lesbian Gay Rights Lobby (now Equality Texas)

Come learn about what it means to be transgender and what those in the trans community face.
This learning opportunity will focus on basic trans knowledge, including what terms such as

Aimed toward future teachers and all who are interested in securing a safe educational
environment, this session will discuss obstacles that LGBTQ youth face in schools and what can
be done to eliminate discrimination. Terminology, statistics and resources will be shared.
